5. Industrial Processes (NFR sector 2)

Last updated on 24 Jan 2013 17:05 by Kevin Hausmann

Industrial processes are an important source of emission for most pollutants. Due to Germany's high-level, differentiated industry featuring numerous companies and a large number of plants for each sector, emission estimation for industrial processes is very complex. Please refer to the sub-sections below for details.

In the area of industrial processes, use is made of production data from association statistics and of manufacturers' information. In the interest of the inventory's completeness and reliability, where emissions reporting is based on such sources, checking of source-category definitions and data-collection methods will continue to receive priority. The inventory is considered complete for main industrial processes. Nevertheless, there are still certain categories awaiting further examination, though their contribution to the national total emission is expected to be minor.

NFR 2 - Industrial Processes consists of the following and sub-categories:

NFR-code of category Name of Category
2.A Mineral Industry
